Ahafo must vote massively for NPP in 2028 for giving us our own region – Chairman

Robert Sarfo-Mensah, newly elected Ahafo Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), urges residents to vote overwhelmingly for the NPP in the 2028 elections. He credits the party for creating the Ahafo Region under former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, which has led to increased administrative independence and accelerated development in the area.

Mr Sarfo-Mensah explained that residents had long sought their own region, but only achieved it under the NPP government. He highlighted that opinion leaders and traditional authorities had lobbied successive governments for the creation of the region, but it was only with Nana Addo's presidency that the region was established. The chairman explained that before the region's creation, Ahafo was part of Brong Ahafo, which had 29 districts and limited development resources.

With Ahafo now an independent region, the distribution of development projects and government resources has improved significantly. Mr Sarfo-Mensah emphasized that the NPP has positively impacted Ahafo's development and plans to engage residents to explain this contribution, encouraging them to cast their votes for the party in the upcoming elections.
