Activist demands security recruitment audit, alleges nepotism in KDF intake

Morara Kebaso, a political activist and Borabu parliamentary aspirant, has called for a thorough examination of recruitment into Kenya's security services. Kebaso argues that every qualified Kenyan should have an equal opportunity to serve in the security forces, not just a select few families, communities, or regions.

He demands a comprehensive audit of the recruitment process, from vacancy announcements to final admission, and insists that the government should publish recruitment figures by county and constituency. Kebaso emphasizes the importance of transparency in security recruitment, as the services have a constitutional duty to protect all Kenyans.

He warns that perceived discrimination could erode public trust in government institutions and fuel feelings of marginalization among young Kenyans. The activist's demands come as public interest in security agency recruitment grows, with many young people vying for limited opportunities in the military and other uniformed services.
