Vishwanath and Sons Box Office Collection Day 2 Updates: Suriya film crosses Rs 74 crore mark

On the second day of its run, Suriya's family entertainer Vishwanath and Sons has crossed the Rs 74 crore mark at the box office in India. The film, which opened at a net collection of Rs 15.15 crore on its first day, went on to earn Rs 22.25 crore on the second day, resulting in a 45% increase from the previous day's tally. As of now, the movie's total domestic net collection stands at Rs 37.60 crore, while its gross collection amounts to Rs 43.47 crore. On a global scale, Vishwanath and Sons has managed to earn Rs 74.47 crore.

The family film, featuring Mamitha Baiju and Radhika Sarathkumar alongside Suriya, has garnered positive reviews from critics. SCREEN's expert praised the movie, noting that while it may not be a perfect film, it is honest, well-performed, and brings laughter and emotion that are often missing in contemporary mainstream family dramas.

Director Venky Atluri expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the cast and crew in a post shared ahead of the release, highlighting the warmth, charm, and soul that Suriya brought to his role.
