Ukrainian-Belarusian Border Is Turning Into a Front Line — Expert

The Belarusian side is continuing to position personnel and military assets along the Ukrainian border, constructing a new airborne assault brigade near the frontier, according to UATV English. Russia is leveraging Belarusian territory and military infrastructure to exert psychological, informational, and military pressure on Ukraine and NATO members.

However, there are no indications that Russia is assembling strike groups for a ground invasion. Military and political analyst Dmytro Sniehyrov shared these insights on the FREEДОМ TV channel.

Sniehyrov suggests that the escalation along the entire Ukrainian-Belarusian border is part of Russia's strategic approach. Moscow is employing a "thousand cuts" tactic to divert the attention of the Ukrainian General Staff from primary objectives. He explained that the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, which stretches for a thousand kilometers, is already functioning as an effective front line.

The Russians aim to create a zone of instability to compel the Ukrainian army to engage in combat operations on two fronts simultaneously.

Presently, the primary focus of Russia's offensive is directed towards the Donetsk region. Moscow seeks to establish conditions where the Ukrainian army would be forced into simultaneous combat operations on both fronts. However, according to Ukrainian intelligence, no movement of Russian troops has been observed on Belarusian territory, with only a limited contingent remaining there. This contingent does not exhibit signs of a large-scale redeployment, with a total count of approximately 2,000 individuals.

Most of these personnel are technical experts supporting Russian military facilities in Belarus, primarily stationed at three airfields. Additionally, Ukrainian intelligence reports that no field ammunition depots or military hospitals have been established in Belarus. These findings indicate the early stages of a potential invasion force being assembled.
