Ukraine Launches One of Its Largest Attacks of War

Ukraine launched a significant attack on the Moscow region overnight, as reported by Russian Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The assault involved hundreds of drones that flew towards the Moscow region from Saturday evening until 6:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, with 201 of them destroyed. Sobyanin stated that 600 drones had been targeting the region during this period, resulting in at least six fatalities.

Among the casualties, three people were wounded in the Moscow area, specifically on the MKAD ring road, receiving medical attention. Ukraine has intensified its long-range strikes on Russian territory in recent weeks, targeting military and industrial facilities, as well as warehouses. Ukrainian forces reportedly struck a warehouse belonging to the Russian online retail giant Wildberries and industrial facilities in several cities within the Moscow region.

However, there is currently no independent confirmation of the attack's full extent. Meanwhile, Russian attacks have claimed at least five lives and injured numerous others across Ukraine, according to Ukrainian officials. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy mentioned that a missile strike on his hometown, Kryvyi Rih, killed two people and injured 14 others, while another fatality occurred in the northeastern city of Sumy.
