The Assembly, Dog Park win their first Logie awards

In a surprise ceremony, Sam Pang took home the prestigious Gold Logie for 2026, marking his first-ever win. ABC's hit shows Goolagong and Dog Park also emerged victorious, each securing two awards. The night's presenter, Sharon Strzelecki, took the stage dressed as a new employee at Australia Zoo, following a recent altercation with some of the zoo's animals.

Deborah Mailman made history by becoming the first Indigenous person inducted into the Hall of Fame, joining a select group of just six women since the list's inception over 40 years ago.
