Tambuwal hails Adeleke’s victory as triumph for democracy

Former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Tambuwal, has extended his congratulations to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election. In a statement shared on his X account, Tambuwal emphasized that Adeleke's victory is not merely a personal achievement but also a triumph for democracy and the people of Osun State.

He highlighted that the election demonstrated the power of voters to choose their leaders through the ballot. Tambuwal, who is also a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, underscored that the ballot remains the most potent expression of the people's will in a democracy. When citizens exercise their right to make a free choice that is respected, it strengthens democratic institutions and deepens public confidence in the electoral process.

Tambuwal also commended the Osun residents for their active participation in the election and their support for the democratic process. He urged Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to govern all the people of Osun State, irrespective of their political affiliations. Tambuwal wished Adeleke wisdom, strength, and success as he embarks on a second term, emphasizing the importance of focusing on the welfare and interests of the people.
