Sportwagen: Lamborghini schärft den Revuelto nach

Lamborghini has unveiled its latest sports car, the Revuelto SV, which is designed to compete on the racetrack. The SV model is powered by a V12 engine that produces 783 kW/1,065 PS of system power and 1,425 Newtonmetres of torque. With plug-in hybrid technology, the Revuelto SV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds. It is expected to reach speeds of over 345 km/h.

This new model continues Lamborghini's long-standing "Super Veloce" tradition, which began in 1971 with the Miura SV. The designation traditionally represents performance-oriented variants of existing models. The Revuelto SV boosts power by 50 PS compared to the base model.

The 6.5-liter V12 engine is paired with three electric motors, which are powered by a 7.3 kWh battery pack. Lamborghini's CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, describes the SV as the "top" of the current model lineup. He emphasizes that the increased performance is less important than the stronger emotional connection between the driver and the machine. The goal is to create a close bond between man and machine.

Technically, the SV differs from the standard Revuelto in several ways. It features updated aerodynamics, a drivetrain derived from motorsports with manually adjustable passive dampers, a new carbon-keramic brake system, and specially developed tires. A new driving mode called "Pilota" has been introduced, allowing the vehicle to be configured into five levels for racetrack use.

The system adjusts traction and stability control based on the driver's preferences and track conditions, as well as tire wear. Winkelmann believes that this additional technology will make the car manageable for less experienced drivers, despite its high performance.

Lamborghini states that it plans to keep the V12 engine at least until the mid-2030s. The Revuelto SV is prepared to meet the Euro 7 exhaust emission standards and is designed to comply with various environmental regulations worldwide. Winkelmann expects that after 2035, there will still be opportunities for internal combustion engines, provided that European regulations allow for alternative fuel operation. In regions outside Europe, he anticipates no fundamental challenges for the V12 engine.

Lamborghini does not disclose a price for the Revuelto SV or provide information on production volumes. Like other models from the brand, customers will be able to extensively personalize their Revuelto SV, including various paint finishes, carbon fiber components, wheel options, and interior trims.
