SP President Akhilesh Yadav Targets BJP Over Border Security, Inflation, Fuel Prices And School Closures

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP government on Sunday, focusing on border security, inflation, fuel prices, and school closures. Speaking at a media event, Yadav emphasized that border security should take precedence over delimitation. He challenged the BJP to compare the country's geographical area in 2014 with its current state, questioning the security of the nation's borders.

Yadav also targeted the government's handling of inflation and the blending of ethanol in petrol (E20). He alleged that farmers were experiencing shortages and irregularities in fertilizer supply, particularly DAP. The civic conditions in Lucknow were another target, with Yadav pointing out litter across the city.

The SP chief criticized the BJP's tree plantation campaign, questioning the exact locations of the claimed 300 crore trees. He attacked the Yogi Adityanath government's education and infrastructure policies, alleging that 500 primary schools had been closed in Gorakhpur, a district close to his own. Yadav also criticized the state of the Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway, noting that potholes had already formed.

Paying tribute to freedom fighter Rani Avantibai Lodhi, Yadav compared her contributions to India's freedom struggle with those of Rani Lakshmibai. He affirmed that the Samajwadi Party would continue advocating for the rights and opportunities of the Lodhi community and other groups under their PDA, Pichhda, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak political plank.
