Shopper orders iPhone from online store, gets Android instead

An online shopper placed an order for an iPhone through a reputable online marketplace, only to receive an Android device instead. The buyer documented the event on Facebook, sharing the incident with the group known as พวกเราคือผู้บริโภค (We Are Consumers). According to the post, the order was placed with an official store affiliated with the online shopping platform. The recipient opened the package and discovered that the phone inside was running Android rather than the Apple product they had anticipated.

Commenters on the Facebook post advised shoppers to record the entire unboxing process, particularly for high-value purchases, to serve as evidence in case of disputes or the need for compensation. Some users suggested that official stores typically maintain stringent security protocols and video records of the packing process, making it more difficult for disputes to arise regarding who is responsible.

To prove the integrity of the claim, the buyer subsequently posted the complete unboxing video in the comments section, demonstrating that the incident had not been staged.

Other members of the consumer group who had previously purchased from the same retailer observed that the packaging in the buyer's photos and video appeared unusual. They noted that orders for newer iPhone models, such as the iPhone 17, usually arrive in larger shipping boxes with multiple layers of protective packaging and reinforced tape.

However, the packaging shown in the posted video and photos differed from what they had previously experienced. Some speculated that the device had been inadvertently switched during the delivery process, although this remains unverified.
