Sangeet urges DAP to review ties with 'divisive' Anwar, laments failure to eliminate graft

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim has stated that vice-president Aminuddin Harun's services remain valuable to the party, despite the recent defeat of Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the Negeri Sembilan state election. Aminuddin, who served as the state's party chief, faced calls from six PKR divisions in Negeri Sembilan to resign following the electoral loss.

Anwar, describing Aminuddin as a close friend, emphasized that the former Negeri Sembilan menteri besar's experience can still be beneficial, particularly in mentoring younger party members and strengthening PKR. Anwar highlighted that Aminuddin accepted the party's defeat in the Negeri Sembilan election with grace and without blaming others, which he believes serves as an example for party members.

In his own winding-up speech, Aminuddin accepted responsibility for PKR and PH's defeat in the Negeri Sembilan election, which saw Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) secure 25 of the 36 seats, thus ousting PH from power. The election also resulted in PKR winning only two of the 16 seats it contested, with DAP winning nine of the 11 seats it contested, and Amanah failing to win any seat.
