Ronaldo hints at retirement: 'Probably my last year'

Madrid: Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that this year may be his last as a professional footballer, according to an interview published in Vogue magazine on Sunday. The 41-year-old Portuguese star, who has scored over 950 goals for club and country, said he wants to leave a "spectacular legacy" and that his future post-retirement is already planned.

Ronaldo told Vogue that he has numerous activities to keep him occupied beyond football, including travel and padel, an Argentine sport. He explained that football could leave a significant void in his life, and therefore, it is crucial to fill his time with diverse pursuits. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus player expressed his desire to continue enjoying the fruits of his labor and the 25 years of hard work he has invested in his career.

Following Portugal's remarkable performance in the recent World Cup, Ronaldo will join Saudi football club Al Nassr for the upcoming season in the Saudi Pro League.
