Reliance Foundation’s prestigious Scholarships open for applications: to award 5100 first year UG & P`G students

On the eve of India's Independence Day, Reliance Foundation opened applications for its 2026-27 Reliance Foundation Scholarships, emphasizing its dedication to nurturing leaders, innovators, and change-makers who will contribute to India's growth. Education, they believe, has the power to transform lives, strengthen communities, and build nations.

Guided by this belief, the scholarships identify and support exceptional young talent across the country, enabling scholars to pursue higher education confidently. Since 1990, Reliance has provided over 33,000 scholarships, with the latest commitment of 50,000 scholarships over 10 years announced by Nita M Ambani, Founder & Chairperson, Reliance Foundation, on the 90th birth anniversary of Reliance founder Chairman, Dhirubhai Ambani.

Last year, 5,100 scholars were selected from 1,350 institutions across 27 states and seven Union Territories, showcasing the broad talent pool and aspirations from various parts of India. The undergraduate scholarships support 5,000 meritorious students annually through a merit-cum-means selection process, while the postgraduate scholarships recognize 100 exceptional students annually pursuing future-ready disciplines like engineering, technology, energy, and life sciences.

Awarded based on academic excellence and aptitude, the scholarships aim to nurture researchers, innovators, and professionals who will tackle tomorrow's challenges. Selected undergraduate students receive a scholarship of up to Rs. 2 lakhs, while postgraduate students receive up to Rs. 6 lakhs throughout their program. In addition to financial grants, scholars benefit from mentorship, leadership development programs, networking opportunities, and interactions with industry experts, fostering skills, confidence, and perspective to create meaningful impact.

The application process includes an aptitude assessment for undergraduates and will be based on academic merit, aptitude, and other selection parameters for postgraduates. No fees are associated with the application process.
