Ranveer Singh’s father agrees to meet film body over Don 3 row as Pralay goes on floors

Over two months after the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) banned Ranveer Singh from the upcoming film Don 3, another film body, the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPPA), is now involved. Ranveer Singh's father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, has agreed to meet with IMPPA to discuss the matter. IMPPA's president, Abhay Sinha, confirmed that their legal team is also prepared to participate in any scheduled meetings.

This development comes as Ranveer Singh's next film, the zombie apocalypse thriller Pralay, is currently in production in Mumbai. Directed by Jai Mehta and co-produced by Hansal Mehta's True Story Films, Ananaya Birla's Birla Studios, and Ranveer's production company Maa Kasam Films, Pralay marks Ranveer's debut as a producer. The Don 3 controversy began in August 2023 when Ranveer informed Excel Entertainment of his decision to exit the project without providing a reason.

This news came three weeks before a crew of over 200 was scheduled to travel abroad for the first shooting schedule. FWICE initially sought to ban Ranveer, but later revoked the decision after considering the input of other film bodies, citing the potential for significant employment generation. Despite FWICE's initial ban, Ranveer has remained silent on the issue, with his team confirming their continued commitment to the film.
