Ranveer Singh begins shooting post-apocalyptic thriller Pralay in Mumbai

Ranveer Singh has commenced principal photography for his upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller Pralay in Mumbai. The large-scale survival film stars the actor as the lead, set against the backdrop of the Indian city. Directed by Jai Mehta, son of renowned filmmaker Hansal Mehta, Pralay promises to be a grand spectacle.

Hansal Mehta revealed that Jai Mehta had been working on the concept for a long time before Ranveer Singh saw his directorial work and expressed interest. Following this, the Mehtas collaborated to develop the film's unique vision. Pralay marks one of Ranveer's most significant projects post his successful Dhurandhar franchise.

Starring alongside Ranveer is Malayalam actor Kalyani Priyadarshan in a significant role. The film is being co-produced by Birla Studios, True Story Films, and Ranveer Singh's Maa Kasam Films, with a reported budget of around Rs 300 crore. While the release date remains unannounced, Pralay aims to bring a fresh take on the post-apocalyptic genre in India.
