Ranches: I won’t take decision against Benue’s interests — Gov Alia

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has stated that any decision regarding the Federal Government's proposed ranching program in the state will prioritize the welfare and interests of the people. Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Alia emphasized the need for patience and careful deliberation before rushing to politicize the matter. He warned against engaging the public through gatherings, churches, media outlets, or markets.

Kula clarified that Alia, a staunch democrat, has consistently maintained that each Benue resident is a vital stakeholder in the state's collective progress. He highlighted Alia's commitment to serving the people and not merely leading. The governor is actively consulting with stakeholders and relevant authorities on the proposal and will make a decision after weighing the implications carefully.

Kula stressed that there is no need to rush the issue to the streets, churches, media, or markets, as measured deliberation often yields better outcomes.
