'Pins and needles turned out to be deadly spiderweb in my brain'

Two children were taken to the hospital after consuming hallucinogenic chocolate, according to reports. Bryony Hill, a mother of five from Selston, Nottinghamshire, experienced severe symptoms that led to her being diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, an inoperable brain tumor that spreads like a spiderweb. Bryony initially visited her GP in September 2025 with headaches and concerns about a lumpy skull.

She was prescribed migraine medication but her symptoms worsened, with pain spreading to her right foot and eventually her entire right side. Despite being told she had tendonitis due to an old rock climbing injury, Bryony's condition deteriorated, leading to an emergency MRI. The MRI revealed the brain tumor, and following a biopsy, doctors confirmed it was stage 4, inoperable glioblastoma.

Bryony's husband, Jason Arday, had planned a trip for her 40th birthday, but her condition forced her to cancel. Bryony's husband has since set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover the costs of alternative treatment abroad, as her condition is terminal and cannot be treated effectively in the UK.
