Osun poll: ADC candidate congratulates Adeleke, says democracy has prevailed

Najeem Salaam, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Osun's governorship election, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election. Salaam stated that the people's choice must be respected, regardless of political differences, emphasizing that democracy had prevailed in the electoral process. He urged Adeleke to reflect on areas where his administration could improve during his second term, while acknowledging the achievements of the current administration.

Salaam also called for unity and peace in the state, stressing that political differences should not threaten the well-being of the people. Adeleke, representing the Accord party, won the election with a significant lead over his main rival, securing a total of 511,067 votes compared to the ADC candidate's 17,180 votes.
