Osun IPAC condemns alleged vote buying, congratulates Gov Adeleke on re-election

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State has denounced allegations of vote buying during the 2026 governorship election, stating that it threatens the integrity of the democratic process. IPAC Chairman, Odesola Oluseye Titus, emphasized this sentiment in a statement issued after the election concluded. Titus warned that such actions undermine democratic principles and urged stakeholders to address the issue to uphold democracy and fairness in future elections.

The IPAC chairman also lauded security personnel for their role in maintaining peace during the electoral process, enabling citizens to vote without fear. He further congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, attributing the victory to the people's confidence in his leadership. IPAC also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a credible and conclusive election and urged the commission to resolve issues with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) before future elections.
