No MACC arrest, just rumours: Abdul Azeez’s son rebuts social media buzz over Tabung Haji RCI

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 16 — Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim's son, Mohamed Khairul Azman Abdul Azeez, has refuted reports circulating on social media claiming his father was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in connection with the Tabung Haji Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) Report. Mohamed Khairul Azman, who posted on Facebook today, confirmed his father is resting at their residence and not under arrest.

He expressed gratitude for the inquiries and hoped that the investigation would be carried out with integrity, fairness, and transparency. The rumors about Abdul Azeez's arrest started on social media late last night, following the public release of the Tabung Haji RCI Report on July 29. Abdul Azeez had previously stated his willingness to cooperate fully if investigated regarding the report.

The Tabung Haji RCI Report was debated and tabled in a special sitting of the Dewan Rakyat last Tuesday.
