For a month, listeners can tune in using both old and new parameters. Starting August 16, FREEDOM will begin test broadcasts using Türksat 4A satellite at 42° east longitude (42°E).
Operating in the Ku- and Ka-bands, Türksat 4A covers Türkiye, Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and sub-Saharan Africa. New reception parameters for Türksat 4A include frequency 11996 MHz, vertical polarization, symbol rate 27500 Msym/sec, forward error correction 3/4, modulation DVB-S2 8PSK, and free-to-air program distribution.
