Max Eberl doesn’t think it should keep Sacha Boey at Bayern Munich

Munich, Germany - Sacha Boey, a French full-back at Bayern Munich, may have impressed some during preseason, but board member for sport Max Eberl does not think a strong run of performances alone should keep him with the club. Eberl acknowledged Boey's qualities but highlighted Bayern Munich's depth at right-back. "There's no doubt that Sacha has qualities, but when I look at the squad there's Stani and Konny at right-back.

So being right-back number 3 does not do anyone justice," Eberl said, according to a report by @iMiaSanMia. Bayern Munich views Boey as a player who might be moved on rather than a permanent member of Vincent Kompany's squad. With Josip Stanišić and Konrad Laimer ahead of him in the right-back hierarchy, Eberl believes keeping Boey as a third-choice option wouldn't be justified financially or sportingly unless circumstances change.

Boey has another chance to prove his worth during preseason, but for now, it seems he still needs to demonstrate why he deserves to stay in Munich.
