Liverpool target Barcola not in PSG squad as Lens win Super Cup

Liverpool are reportedly in pursuit of Barcola, a player whose name has been linked with a potential move to Anfield this summer. The 23-year-old French forward has drawn interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal. However, Barcola was not selected for Paris Saint-Germain's squad as they narrowly lost the French Super Cup to Lens.

The match, which Lens won 1-0, saw Florian Thauvin score the only goal in the 32nd minute. Lens also fielded ten players for much of the game after receiving a red card for a foul in the 39th minute. PSG had to contend with substitute Nuno Mendes' late sending-off. The club has been busy strengthening their squad recently, with Ferran Torres and Mika Godts joining from Barcelona and Ajax respectively.
