Kalpohin SHS, NOBISCO qualify to represent Northern Region at National Public Speaking Competition

Kalpohin Senior High School and Northern School of Business Senior High School (NOBISCO) have been selected to represent the Northern Region at the National Public Speaking Competition in Accra. After competing against six other senior high schools in the regional contest organized by Dee Dee Global, Kalpohin SHS and NOBISCO emerged victorious. The competition aims to develop confident, articulate and responsible young speakers capable of inspiring positive change.

Kalpohin SHS and NOBISCO faced several rounds of competitive speaking, but emerged triumphant. Students who spoke to JoyNews described preparing for the competition as challenging, yet rewarding. They expressed a determination to make the Northern Region proud. Fatima Abdul Rashid, one of the students, said, "the preparation was demanding, but it was worth every effort.

We are ready to make the Northern Region proud". Amadu Zakaria Nasiba, another student, added, "this qualification means a lot to me and my school, we are representing the region and I am so happy. We will make the region proud".

Issifu Alfred, the Northern Regional Coordinator of Dee Dee Global, highlighted the transformative impact of the competition. He noted that the contest has boosted students' confidence and refined their public speaking skills. "This competition has helped many students build confidence and become better public speakers," Alfred remarked. He also called for greater support to expand the initiative, stating, "with more resources, we can extend public speaking training to reach many more students across the region".
