Jentera jadi mangsa jika PKR ‘mencucuk sesama sendiri’, kata Ramanan

R Ramanan warned that members of the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) should not undermine the party by undermining each other, as divisions at the highest level would weaken the party's foundation and benefit its opponents. He emphasized that differing views or approaches within the party should not cause fractures, arguments or members to leave, leading to a weakening of PKR's strength in upcoming elections.

"If we choke each other from above, it is ultimately our grassroots members who suffer," Ramanan stated during the PKR 2026 Congress at the Multi-Ethnic Trade Centre (MITC) in Melaka. He stressed that no individual or group should be considered superior to the party, and personal interests should not take precedence over the party's struggle.

Ramanan believed that any differences should be resolved through discussion and family-like unity, rather than letting egos dominate the party. "If there is a difference, we sit together. If there is a problem, we solve it as one family. If there is ego, we keep it to ourselves," he said. Ramanan added that maintaining the party and PKR President Anwar Ibrahim does not mean party members cannot criticize or have differing opinions.

He clarified that the party's primary goal now is to strengthen PKR, win the upcoming general election, and ensure Anwar continues to lead into his second term. "If ego remains dominant, the work will disintegrate, we will lose Putrajaya, and there is no one who will benefit. Reform may stop," he warned.
