JBCN International School Students Raise Funds, Deliver Winter Aid to Cancer Patient Families at Shraddha Foundation, Chembur

Four students from JBCN International School in Chembur organized a bake sale to raise funds for families of cancer patients staying at the Shraddha Foundation in Sindhi Camp. The students, Aarav Lele, Arhaan Lightwalla, Shivaan Sharma, and Vir Gangoly, made and sold cupcakes, brownies, and cookies during a recent parent-teacher meeting.

Their efforts were supported by other classmates and the wider school community. The bake sale raised enough funds to fully purchase blankets, floor mats, and other essential items for the shelter, which houses outstation cancer patients and their relatives, many of whom travel from Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha for treatment in Mumbai.

The students visited the shelter and spoke with residents to identify their essential needs. They then bought winter and comfort items and personally delivered them to the families at the shelter. The students emphasized that even small actions can make a significant difference when helping others. They expressed that meeting the families at the Shraddha Foundation taught them valuable lessons about privilege, gratitude, and emotional strength.

The initiative is part of the school's social-responsibility program, which promotes student-led community engagement.
