Jaxson Dart ‘puzzled’ by concussion tests: ‘Every time I get hit, I find my way in [blue tent]’

New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart underwent five concussion tests during his first NFL season in 2025, with one official concussion that kept him out of two games. Giants color commentator Troy Aikman expressed concern about Dart's play style, which has resulted in him taking multiple big hits. In the preseason opener against the Vikings, Dart suffered a huge hit from safety Jay Ward, forcing him to the ground and triggering a concussion test in the blue medical tent.

Following the play, Dart was cleared to return after a few moments and threw a touchdown pass on his first play back. In a post-game interview, Dart mentioned his frustration with the frequent medical evaluations, saying, "I really respect the rules and the thought behind what the NFL has of keeping players healthy and reviewing things.

But at the same time, I’m still puzzled by it just feeling like every time that I get hit, I find my way in there."
