Iran offers $30,000 reward for capturing or killing US soldier

Iran's army chief has announced a $30,000 bounty for any Iranian who captures or kills a US soldier, according to Fars news agency. Citing Army Chief of Staff Major General Amir Hatami, Fars reports that the reward will be provided by the Iranian people for the act of capturing or killing an aggressor. Separately, Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has described the ongoing conflict as a cowardly war led by the United States and Israel.

Ghalibaf stated that Iran has achieved a military and political victory, calling the memorandum of understanding between Iran and Washington a document of honor and a diplomatic triumph. The memorandum, known as the Islamabad Understanding, was reached after months of intense military confrontations that began on February 28, followed by Iranian attacks on US interests in various regional countries.
