Hunt bags third Euro gold, Diaz shines in triple jump

Amy Hunt secured her third gold medal of the European championships in Birmingham, contributing to Britain's victory in the women's 4x100m relay. The quartet included Dina Asher-Smith, Success Eduan, and Imani Lansiquot, finishing with a time of 42.05 seconds. This marked the seventh continental gold for Asher-Smith, bringing her into contention as the most-decorated European athlete of all time, alongside fellow sprinter Irena Szewinska.

Hunt expressed her excitement, stating that she was living the "time of my life" alongside other exceptional athletes. Meanwhile, Italy's Andy Diaz Hernandez set a new record with the fourth longest triple jump, clocking in at 18.15m. The night also saw Germany's Julian Weber win the men's javelin with a championship record throw of 90.40m, and Sweden's Andreas Almgren win the 10,000m with a record-breaking time of 27:23.44.
