Gerakan penerangan dapatan RCI TH diperluas babit ulama, agamawan

The distribution of revenue from the Royal Commission Investigation (RCI) of the Tabung Haji (TH) is being expanded across the nation to ensure the public understands the issues related to the management of the institution's savings, according to former Prime Minister's Department (Hal Ehwal Agama) minister Mujahid Yusof Rawa. The initiative will involve Muslim scholars and religious activists in various settings such as mosques, prayer halls, schools, government offices, colleges, universities, and community education venues.

The effort comes in the wake of the Special Ulama and Religious Conference: Hifz al-Mal, which gathered over 100 Muslim scholars and religious leaders nationwide to discuss the RCI and the responsibility of safeguarding the TH's 9.7 million deposit savings, the majority of which belong to Muslims. The purpose of this endeavor is clear: to explain the facts, protect the trust, and prevent the misappropriation of the community's assets.

The Tabung Haji is considered an amanah (trust) of the people, and its protection is a shared responsibility. In a Facebook post, Rawa emphasized that the Tabung Haji chairman stated that the recent conference held at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur was organized by the Ulama Malaysia Secretariat, in collaboration with the Mursyid al-’Am Majlis Ulama Malaysia and Abdul Rahim Abdul Rahman.

The conference was notable for its diverse panel, which included professionals and academics from various backgrounds, such as certified accountants, economic analysts, legal experts, Sharia scholars, and school imams. This combination of expertise allowed for a comprehensive discussion of the RCI issue, encompassing religious, financial, economic, commercial, legal, administrative, and trust aspects in the management of the community's assets.

Key presentations included a session on the RCI's financial profile and another focusing on the role of religion and the community in understanding and protecting the ummah's trust. In essence, the principle of Hifz al-Mal (preserving and safeguarding assets) was the foundation of the conference, particularly in the context of TH, which manages savings for millions of Muslims for the purpose of fulfilling Hajj pilgrimage requirements.
