General Manager of Central Railway hoists the National Flag on the occasion of 80th Independence Day

General Manager Rajeev Shrivastava of Central Railway hoisted the national flag at the Central Railway headquarters in Mumbai on 15th August 2026, marking the 80th Independence Day celebrations. During his address, he reviewed the RPF Parade and extended his greetings to all railway personnel, their families, and esteemed users.

In his speech, Shrivastava praised the significant contributions of Central Railway towards the nation's progress and development, acknowledging the tireless efforts of railway employees in challenging conditions to ensure safety and security. He highlighted the importance of punctuality and the ongoing efforts to improve customer services, despite the recent challenges posed by disruptions in oil imports.

Shrivastava also congratulated Shankar Shivswami Edle, Head Constable, RPF Zonal Cyber Cell, Central Railway, on receiving the President's Medal for Meritorious Service. The General Manager expressed gratitude to the Central Railway Women's Welfare Organisation for their welfare activities, thanked employees for their dedication, and thanked the media for effectively highlighting Central Railway's achievements.

The event featured a presentation by the CR RPF Dog squad and a cultural performance by Central Railway Cultural Academy artists, despite heavy rains. The celebrations were webcasted live on YouTube, attended by Smt. Snigdha Srivastava, President of CRWWO, along with other officials.
