Eleven held for attacking youth over love proposal

On Friday, a youth named P. Lokeswara Reddy was attacked in Kadapa district for making a love proposal to a woman, according to police reports released on Saturday. The incident led to the arrest of eleven individuals the following day. The suspects, ranging in age from 18 to 29, were identified as C. Sai Pratap, C. Hari Prasad, P. Mangala Madanmohan, Y. Vinay Kumar, C. Noor Mohammad, J. Govardhan, P. Bhuvanesh, G. Yashwant Siva, M. Narayanaswamy, G. Anji, and G. Praveen.

During the arrest, police recovered various objects, including sticks, empty beer bottles, and motorcycles. The victim, currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital, was physically harmed during the attack. Proddatura Rural Circle Inspector M. Nagabhushan stated that those involved in the assault remain at large.
