Camden Brown stands out for Cowboys with 2 touchdown catches in 17-7 preseason win against Seahawks

In Dallas' preseason opener against the Seattle Seahawks, rookie wide receiver Camden Brown made a significant impact with two touchdown catches. The 6-foot-2, 204-pound undrafted free agent, who previously played at Auburn and Georgia Southern, showcased his skills on Saturday night, leading the Cowboys to a 17-7 victory. Brown's first touchdown was a diving, one-handed catch in the second quarter, extending Dallas' lead to 10-7.

Later in the third quarter, he snagged a fade pass from backup quarterback Joe Milton, diving across the goal line for a 2-yard touchdown. Milton, entering his third pro season, completed a respectable 12 of 15 passes for 107 yards and the crucial touchdown to Brown. Backup quarterback Sam Howell also contributed with his own touchdown pass to Brown.

Seattle's backup quarterbacks, including Sam Darnold, Drew Lock, and Jason Myers, were rotated throughout the game, with Lock and Myers both contributing 40 yards in the air. Dallas' running back Jaydon Blue struggled against Seattle's defense, gaining only 19 yards on eight carries. Cornerback Tyrice Knight led the Seahawks' defense with 10 tackles, while the Cowboys' Curtis Robinson tallied eight tackles.

Seattle struggled with injuries, with tackle Amari Kight leaving the game early, and edge rusher Jared Ivey returning to the lineup briefly. Dallas' backup running back Phil Mafah left the game with a chest injury. The two teams combined for 21 penalties and 174 penalty yards. Moving forward, Dallas will face Arizona on August 22, while Seattle will host Tennessee on August 23.
