Bruins Legends Reuniting For Zdeno Chara’s Final Game In Slovakia

Zdeno Chara will play his final game alongside many of his former Boston Bruins teammates in Slovakia. Twenty-one players are set to participate in "Zee’s Final Shift" on August 21st at the Pavol Demitra Ice Hockey Stadium. The game, featuring current stars such as Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak, pays tribute to Chara's 24-season NHL career, his seven Stanley Cup championships with Boston, and his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Team World, led by Chara, includes forwards from Czech and Slovak backgrounds and former Bruins such as Jaromir Jagr, Marian Hossa, and Tomas Kaberle. Anze Kopitar, the only active NHL player attending, joins the roster along with Tim Thomas, the Conn Smythe Trophy winner of the 2011 championship season. The event also marks a reunion of players from Boston's 2011 Stanley Cup-winning team, with captains Chara and Bergeron sharing a common legacy.
