This leaves little room for negotiation between the two clubs. Suarez, a 28-year-old natural centre-forward, presents an attractive profile, but the financial commitment required to secure his services is deemed unfeasible for Barcelona. The club's search for a new striker appears to have become increasingly difficult, as they had previously shown interest in Ferran Torres' move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Torres' departure from Barcelona has further intensified the urgency to find a replacement. However, the market is currently replete with clubs attempting to inflate the prices of players, knowing Barcelona's desperation. With the transfer window closing in just two weeks, Barcelona's search for a suitable replacement appears increasingly challenging, leaving their best option to rely on Atletico Madrid potentially changing their stance in the final stages of the transfer window.
