Anwar announces Amirudin as PKR election director, Tengku Zafrul as PMO coordinator

Malaysia's PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has appointed vice-president Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to take on the duties of deputy president, while granting Nurul Izzah Anwar a temporary leave. Anwar believes Saifuddin, whom he considers "the most loyal person" and a long-time friend, understands how he works and should continue this role.

He hopes the entire PKR machinery will support, cooperate, and show loyalty towards Saifuddin. Additionally, PKR information chief Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil announced that vice-president Amirudin Shari has been appointed the party's election director, and Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz is now a coordinator in the Prime Minister's Office.

Anwar also addressed the leadership position in Negri Sembilan, suggesting Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun should focus on his duties as vice-president, training new party members, and steering the party's cadre development agenda. He emphasized that Aminuddin's extensive experience is valuable for PKR's growth. Furthermore, Anwar stated that PKR's defeat in the Negri Sembilan state election on August 1 should not be solely blamed on Aminuddin but should be collectively accepted and rectified for better performance in the future.
