Angka ekonomi kukuh sahaja tak cukup tarik pengundi, kata Fahmi

PKR Chief Spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil emphasized at the PKR Congress in Melaka that economic figures alone are insufficient to attract voter support; he stressed the need to address daily economic pressures felt by the populace. During his address, Fahmi pointed out that economic indicators such as Gross Domestic Product growth, unemployment rates, government outcomes, and investment inflows merely provide a broad view of the economy.

He clarified that while these figures offer a comprehensive picture, they may not resonate as deeply with the average person's daily life. Fahmi argued that voters are more concerned with immediate issues affecting their lives, such as salaries, living expenses, and fuel prices. The recent Negeri Sembilan PRN results, where BN and PN formed the state government after securing 25 seats, showed that the performance of the PH coalition alone is not enough to sway voters.

Fahmi highlighted that economic concerns among the populace must be addressed to counteract the emotional and emotional-driven political strategies. "The Negeri Sembilan election results prove that emotions can overpower performance," he stated. "Clearly, to tackle fear-based politics, we must address issues close to the people's hearts."
