Yubol takes LPGA Tour lead into the weekend in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Thai golfer Arpichaya Yubol posted a 6-under 66 in her second straight round to lead The Standard Portland Classic at Columbia-Edgewater Country Club. Yubol, who has been winless in her four-year LPGA Tour career, was a stroke ahead of fellow Thai player Pajaree Anannarukarn and rivals Sophia Schubert and Hye-Jin Choi.

The sophomore added that her putting had been clicking recently after five weeks off before the tournament. Despite shooting a bogey on the 18th hole on Friday, Yubol said it was "just really been clicking, making putts" and that the one bogey among 13 under in 36 holes was "amazing." World number one Haeran Ryu led the field at 9 under, while Lexi Thompson missed the cut after announcing her pregnancy.
