‘Why Tinubu deserves second term’

A religious group called 'Victorious Prayer Network' has provided reasons why President Bola Tinubu should be given a second term when elections are held in 2027. They claim that during his time in office since 2023, he has demonstrated a commitment to the people of the Niger Delta and Nigerians as a whole. The group has started weekly prayers for the President's re-election and believes his efforts have been significant since taking office.

Evangelist Victoria Agori, the founder of the organisation, said the decision to pray for Tinubu's re-election was a divine decision. She cited improvements in the Niger Delta region, stability within the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), and ongoing efforts against insurgency as evidence for Tinubu's re-election. The NDDC has had no successful board in four years, but under President Tinubu, the organization has experienced stability and Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has served four years without disruption.

The group highlighted the completion of the NDDC under Tinubu's leadership, the opening of the Bodo-Bonny Road in Rivers State, and the completion of the Eleme section of the East-West Road. Evangelist Agori said that these accomplishments demonstrate Tinubu's dedication to the people of Nigeria and he deserves the prayers of all citizens.

She encouraged Nigerians to unite and pray for their country and for President Tinubu to be strengthened to positively impact the nation. She noted that prayers can indeed have a profound impact.

The prayer meetings organized by the group will be open to clerics from other denominations and faith backgrounds. Another member of the group, Elder Harrison Princewill, also spoke, reiterating the group's commitment to interceding for the peace of the country.
