Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra, a 33-year-old Scottish fashion entrepreneur, was discovered deceased on her boat, owned by financier Chris Durnan, in Montauk, according to The Post. Allegations of harassment and fraud surfaced against Durnan shortly before her death. On August 1, 2025, Nolan-O'Slatarra blocked Durnan's number following his hostile text messages to her business partner, Dylan Grace, accusing them of fraud.

Nolan-O'Slatarra assured Grace that she would discuss the allegations with Durnan, who owned around 13% of their company. Following a meeting with Durnan on August 4 aboard his yacht, Hell in a Bucket, the two went on a boat tour and returned to the yacht club to board another Durnan vessel, Ripple. The circumstances surrounding her death are currently under investigation by the police.

Durnan has not been charged with any wrongdoing and has denied involvement in her death. His attorney stated that Durnan threw his clothes away due to them being stained with Nolan-O'Slatarra's vomit, though the EMT report did not mention any vomit, and his garments were never found. Nolan-O'Slatarra's family has filed a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit against Durnan in Manhattan Supreme Court. A tip line for the investigation has been established by her estate.
