Walshe strikes gold again in 200m individual medley

Ellen Walshe claimed her second gold medal at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris, winning the 200m individual medley. She finished the race in 2:09.81, adding to the gold she secured in the 400m individual medley. Walshe, an Irish two-time gold medalist, spoke about her victory to RTÉ Sport. She revealed that she was fifth at the 150m mark, but pushed herself in the final 50 meters, saying, "Just the underwater 15, somewhere around that to give myself a bit of a boost - and I just kicked the whole way home." Her tenacious performance was a key factor in her success.
