Washington - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio conveyed warm greetings to the citizens of India on the occasion of its 80th Independence Day on Friday. In a statement, Rubio expressed that the bilateral ties between the two nations have never been stronger, attributing this robust relationship to the personal rapport between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Rubio emphasized that the friendship and familial bonds between the people of the US and India form the bedrock of a partnership that is innovative, resilient, and forward-looking. On behalf of the United States, Rubio extended heartfelt congratulations to the Indian people on their Independence Day.

The US Secretary of State highlighted the growth and strengthening of the US-India relationship across various domains, including defense and energy security, critical minerals, artificial intelligence, space cooperation, and commerce.
