Tennessee tennis to host 2026 Rocky Top Invitational

Tennessee men's tennis will kick off its 2026 fall season by hosting the Rocky Top Invitational. The event is scheduled for September 18-20 at the Goodfriend Tennis Center. The tournament will see participation from No. 61 Indiana, No. 62 Louisville, and No. 65 Memphis. Competitions will include both singles and doubles matches. Notably, Indiana has a few players who were ranked in last season's final ITA rankings. This will be the first time Tennessee hosts a fall invite since the Knoxville Showdown in September 2022.

In the offseason, Tennessee's head coach Chris Woodruff bolstered the team by signing a top 20 freshman class and adding three SEC transfers. Among the returning players are Jose Garcia, who was named the 2025-26 Ohio Valley Region Most Improved Player, and Shion Itsusaki. The trio of transfers consists of Alan Bojarski from Auburn, Orel Kimhi from Oklahoma, and Oscar Lacides, a two-time All-SEC performer who played for Oklahoma.
