Tecno’s New Earbuds Can Record, Transcribe and Summarize Calls

Tecno has unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Pova AI Buds Pro, which come equipped with AI-powered transcription, translation, and recording capabilities. Alongside the launch of the Pova 8 Pro and Pova 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, the Pova AI Buds Pro marks the incorporation of AI features in the brand's audio products.

The focus of these features is real-time speech transcription, meeting summaries, and translation support for up to 78 languages. The earbuds also possess built-in storage for off-device recording, with a Quick Note button on the charging case for easy initiation of recording sessions. The device can record continuously for up to four hours, thanks to a 48dB Hybrid Noise Cancellation system that can reduce background noise by up to 48dB.

Each earbud houses four microphones and supports Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The Pova AI Buds Pro boast Hi-Res Audio and LHDC codecs, dual-device connectivity, and an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. The earbuds can provide up to 40 hours of battery life when paired with the charging case, which supports both wireless and USB Type-C charging.

However, the latter requires a separate purchase. Priced at approximately $155 in India, the Tecno Pova AI Buds Pro are available in a single color option.
