Sowore blasts Davido over political position on Osun election

African Action Congress presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, recently criticized Afrobeats singer Davido over his stance on the ongoing Osun governorship election. In a post on his official X account, Sowore accused Davido and his family of prioritizing their personal and political interests over the well-being of the people of Osun State. The 2027 presidential candidate also alleged that Davido's support for President Bola Tinubu's administration contradicts his family's political ambitions within Osun State.

Sowore stated, "Now you know, Davido. You guys thought you could have it both ways, opportunism and political hedging." He further emphasized that Davido's aim was to maintain control over Osun State's resources while simultaneously backing the same political establishment, led by Tinubu, at the federal level. Sowore concluded, "You cannot claim to stand with the people while simultaneously cutting deals with the political establishment that has failed them.

Nigerians should now know exactly who these people are, what they represent, and whose interests they truly serve."
