Skill park, jobs and infrastructure projects for Kalyana Karnataka on priority: Priyank Kharge

Home Minister Priyank Kharge announced that the Karnataka government will focus on skill development, jobs, and infrastructure projects in Kalyana Karnataka. At a function in Kalaburagi, Kharge said the state had invested ₹250 crore in skill development, including a Multi-Skill Development Centre and Training Centre. Nearly 32,177 posts would be filled in the region, and the government would enact a stringent law to curb malpractice in competitive exams.

The state also planned to establish 10,000 Bharat Jodo youth organisations, with ₹1,010 crore allocated for the initiative. A mega dairy was being set up, expected to benefit 25,000 farm families. The Cabinet approved ₹152 crore for 400 electric buses and four satellite bus terminals. Kalyana Patha focused on developing 64 roads, while Pragati Patha covered 59 roads.

Kalaburagi's transformation into a sustainable smart city was under development. Appa Lake's renovation and the LEAP programme were scheduled for September 17. Solar micro-grids and basic infrastructure projects were underway. Forts and a temple were being renovated, and a master plan prepared for Deval Ganagapur. Kharge encouraged participation in anti-drug awareness campaigns and paid tribute to freedom fighters, highlighting Nehru's contributions to India's progress.
