Seahawks, CB Devon Witherspoon agree to 4-year, $132 million deal, AP source says

The Seattle Seahawks and cornerback Devon Witherspoon have reached a four-year, $132 million contract extension, with a $101 million guarantee, according to a source speaking to The Associated Press on Saturday. The deal, which would make Witherspoon the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL, hasn't been officially finalized yet. The Seahawks exercised their fifth-year option on Witherspoon on March 26 but chose to sign him to the long-term agreement on the same day they commenced preseason play against the Dallas Cowboys.

A 25-year-old cornerback, Witherspoon was drafted by the Seahawks as the fifth overall pick in the 2023 draft. In the same draft, the team selected wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who subsequently agreed to a four-year, $168.8 million contract with $120 million guaranteed. Throughout his three seasons with the Seahawks, Witherspoon has been selected to the Pro Bowl every season and also made the second-team All-Pro team.

He contributed significantly to the Seahawks' Super Bowl victory last year, appearing in all three playoff games, tallying 17 tackles and four passes defended.
