Royals beat the Angels 7-6 to snap 4-game losing streak

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) - Jac Caglianone lit up the ballpark with a three-hit, five-run performance, while Michael Massey contributed additional offensive firepower, as the Kansas City Royals bounced back from a four-game losing streak with a 7-6 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Friday.

Caglianone's powerful two-run homer in the fifth inning propelled Kansas City to a 5-4 lead, and he continued his impressive hitting form with a home run later in the game, helping seal the win. Michael Massey added to the Royals' offensive output with another homer and three hits.

Pitching was solid from the Royals' rotation as John Schreiber, Nate Pearson, and Steven Cruz combined for scoreless relief innings, with Cruz delivering his fourth save of the season. Nolan Schanuel provided crucial support from the Angels' side with two hits and four RBIs in a three-game winning streak for the young team.

The Angels had managed to pull ahead 6-5 in the sixth inning on Josh Lowe's solo homer off Alex Lange. However, Kansas City responded with two runs in the seventh inning, courtesy of relief pitcher Tayler Saucedo. Caglianone sealed the victory with a clutch two-out RBI single in the ninth inning, propelling the Royals to a much-needed win and putting an end to their four-game losing skid.
