The report alleged that Amorim had concerns over Leao's impact on the squad environment, but Leao clarified that his absence from the current friendly match against Manchester United is due to a minor injury, not a disciplinary issue.

Despite not being in the squad, the player and the club have been attempting to find a buyer for him, with potential suitors including Galatasaray, Besiktas, and Fenerbahce making low offers. However, none of these bids have come close to Milan's original asking price of €50m plus €10m in add-ons, so the club may be prepared to accept a lower offer, potentially as low as €40m.
