Priest held after allegedly being found in objectionable situation with girl inside temple

A 66-year-old temple priest was arrested in Ramachandrapuram after being found in an inappropriate situation with a girl inside the temple, according to local reports. The accused, identified as Sayanna alias Sailoo, allegedly locked the temple from the outside and remained inside with the girl. Locals who observed suspicious activity entered the temple and discovered the priest with the girl, prompting them to inform the police.

The video recording of the incident, which reportedly took place on August 13, was also submitted to the police. The Ramachandrapuram Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. However, the girl's statement has not yet been recorded, and her age is still being verified. The police emphasized that further action would depend on the outcome of the investigation and the girl's statement.
